115. Seoni is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Balaghat Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Seoni falls in Seoni district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,51,117 voters in the seat, which includes 1,28,328 male voters, and 1,22,783 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Seoni recorded a voter turnout of 78.87%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.41%, and in 2008 it was 68.84%.
In 2013, Dinesh Rai ( Munmun) of IND won the seat by a margin of 20,916 votes (11.78%). Dinesh Rai ( Munmun) secured 36.84% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 12,484 votes (9.78%), registering 32.84% of the total votes polled.
