41. Sagar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Sagar Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sagar falls in Sagar district and Vindhya Pradesh region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a urban seat.
There are a total of 2,01,423 voters in the seat, which includes 1,04,781 male voters, and 96,634 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Sagar recorded a voter turnout of 64.52%. In 2013 the turnout was 64.83%, and in 2008 it was 58.15%.
In 2013, Shailendra Jain of BJP won the seat by a margin of 8,223 votes (6.54%). Shailendra Jain secured 51.16% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 20,851 votes (24.18%), registering 53.34% of the total votes polled.
