The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is at loggerheads with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Rajasthan over demolition of temples.
The RSS has called for a road block in Jaipur on Thursday to protest the demolition of several temples in the Rajasthan capital.
As many as six temples were recently demolished to pave the way for the Jaipur metro in the Walled City area. The metro project is expected to relocate seven more temples in the area.
As many as 70 temples were reportedly demolished last year alone by the Jaipur Development Authority.
The decision to call for a road block was reportedly taken at a meeting between state leaders of RSS and its affiliates, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Hindu Jagran Manch.
