New Delhi: It was a meeting called to reach out to all chief ministers and ensure integration between the Centre and states.
More importantly, ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament where the government hopes to pass important bills like GST which need help from parties like the Trinamool Congress.
But not everything went smoothly at the meeting on Saturday. Sources said Mamata Banerjee was upset that she was allowed to speak for only 12 minutes and that a buzzer was placed only when she and Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat spoke.
Many were upset that deputy chief minister Sukhdev Badal was allowed to speak before chief ministers like Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal.
Government sources however said that according to order states spoke first and then union territories; and that even among the states the list was alphabetical.
