44. Kasdol is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Jangir-Champa (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Kasdol falls in Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district and Central region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.
There are a total of 3,33,240 voters in the seat, which includes 1,68,186 male voters, and 1,65,041 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Kasdol recorded a voter turnout of 73.78%. In 2013 the turnout was 75.27%, and in 2008 it was 66.4%.
In 2013, Gauri Shankar Agrawal of BJP won the seat by a margin of 22,928 votes (10.32%). Gauri Shankar Agrawal secured 42.14% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 27,206 votes (15.85%), registering 45.23% of the total votes polled.
