Cash-for-votes: HC to hear Kulkarni's bail plea
Kulkarni was on September 27 sent to judicial custody after he failed to appear before the court.

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court will be hearing the bail applications of Sanjeev Saxena, Sudheendra Kulkarni and former BJP MPs Faggan Singh Khulaste and Mahavir Bhagora on Monday. All of them are accused in 2008 Cash-for-votes case.

On October 25, the Tees Hazari court had dismissed the bail plea of Kulkarni and two others in connection with the cash-for-votes scam. The court had also dismissed the bail applications of two former BJP MPs Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mahabir Singh Bhagora in the case.

On the July 22, 2008, three BJP MPs showed wads of currency notes in the Lok Sabha just ahead of the trust vote, alleging they were bribed to save the UPA government.

Kulkarni was on September 27 sent to judicial custody after he failed to appear before the court on two earlier dates, despite summons against him.
