New Delhi: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev's close aide Acharya Balkrishna's judicial custody has been extended till August 27. He was produced before a Dehradun court on Monday. Balkrishna was arrested in a case of forgery and violation of the Indian Passport Act.
Balkrishna was arrested last month in a fake passport case after he failed to appear at a Dehradun court.
Balkrishna had allegedly provided fake documents to procure a passport.
Outside the court, Balkrishna said he and Ramdev were patriots and slammed the government for not acting against black money.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party President Nitin Gadkari defended Balkrishna. Speaking at the Ramlila Maidan, "People like Balkrishna who talk about black money are put in jail."
