Laws are made in Parliament not at Jantar Mantar, Congress sopkesperson Rashid Alvi said.
New Delhi: Congress party spokesperson Rashid Alvi on Sunday said that Anna Hazare is denigrating Parliament and laws are made in Parliament, not at Jantar Mantar.
"Anna himself said that he will wait till winter session is over. There is not even a debate in Parliament on Lokpal. Anna is denigrating Parliament," Alvi said.
On the Anna's fast, he said, "RSS has clearly said that they support Anna. Anna also wrote to LK Advani thanking him for his support to the movement. Parliament is supreme. It is not run by slogans."
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said that law is made in Parliament, not roads.
"This is free India and everyone has the right to act but within the legal framework. One should have faith in Parliament," he said.
