Speaking to reporters at his village Ralegaon Sidhi, Hazare said, "Good people should join politics."
Mumbai: Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare has welcomed retired army Chief General VK Singh's decision to join the Bharatiya Janata Party and Kiran Bedi's reported move to join the party. Speaking to reporters at his village Ralegaon Sidhi, Hazare said, "Good people should join politics."
What is surprising is his sudden change in the stand on politics. He had publicly criticised Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal for launching a political party.
He had stated that he was against joining politics. His critics had even accused him of being a BJP sympathiser.
However, Anna has decided to campaign for Trinamool Congress leaders and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata banerjee, for the coming Lok Sabha elections.
