Kanker: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will address two rallies in Rajnandgaon and Kanker districts of Chhattisgarh on Friday, a day after his mother Sonia Gandhi's rally in the state as well as BJP'S prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's rallies in the same locations.
The Congress has been hoping to sweep sympathy votes in the state by raking up the killing of party leaders there in May 2013.
The Naxal attack in May left over 25 people dead in Chhattisgarh. PCC chief Nand Kumar Patel, his son Dinesh and ex-MLA Uday Mudaliyar were among those who died in the attack.
Chhattisgrah will go for polls on November 11 and the results of this will be declared on December 8. The BJP led by Raman Singh in the state is looking forward to form the government for the third time consecutively.
