Almost a decade after its launch in 2014, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started the ‘One Vehicle, One FASTag‘ initiative. It aims to ensure no vehicle uses multiple FASTags. The initiative will also make sure that the owners of multiple vehicles do not use the same FASTag, thereby making the Electronic Toll Collection system work efficiently. “FASTags are sometimes deliberately not fixed on the windscreen of the vehicle, resulting in unnecessary delays at the toll plazas and causing inconvenience to fellow National Highway users,” the NHAI said on Monday.
