The IPL 2024 auction is just a day away and the fever has gripped the cricket fraternity with predictions flying thick and fast. A host of top cricketers from India and around the world will be up for grabs with the 10 franchises aiming to shore up their roster ahead of the next season.
Some of the biggest names including Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Lockie Ferguson, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harry Brook among others will be up for grabs.

India offspinner Ravichandran Ashwin who plays for Rajasthan Royals in IPL has given his predictions on the players who he thinks will be the most sought-after and could fetch astronomical prices.
Ashwin though made his choices known with a unique method. He assigned a different cricket shots for different price brackets.
For defensive shot, he chose Rs 2 -4 crores range, drive Rs 4- 7 crores, pull shot Rs 7-10 crores, slog Rs 10-14 crores and helicopter shot for Rs 14 crores and over.
While he kept the helicopter shot for both Starc and Cummins, surprisingly, he thinks world cup final hero Travis Head will fetch anything between Rs 2-4 crore.

Shahrukh Khan, known for his finishing skills, Ashwin played the slog meaning the Tamil Nadu batter will fetch anywhere between Rs 10-14 crores.
A total of 333 cricketers have been shortlisted for the auction which will be held in Dubai on Tuesday. This is the first time that an auction is being held outside India.
Out of the 333 players, 214 are Indians and 119 overseas.
Of these, 116 have played international cricket.
The 10 franchises have a combined 77 vacant slots with Kolkata Knight Riders entering the auction with maximum vacancies (12).
Rs 2 crore is the highest reserve base price in which 23 players have put their names in. The auction gets underway from 1:30 PM IST.
