With an impressive kick-off to the academic year 2023–24 job placement season, students from IIT Delhi have landed a remarkable 1050 job offers, including the highly sought-after pre-placement offers (PPOs). Phase 1 concluded with roughly 1000 students obtaining various employment offers.

More than fifty overseas employment offers, including PPOs, have been made to IIT Delhi graduates. These offers were made by 20 foreign organisations from Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

At the end of Phase 1 students were typically placed in the Core (Technical) sector, subsequently followed by the IT sector. At this stage of the recruitment process, Air India, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Bajaj Auto, and Ola Electric are the top employers on campus in terms of the number of students granted jobs.

Prof. R. Ayothiraman, Professor Incharge, Office of Career Services, reflected on the present placement season, stating that while the year was expected to be challenging, the students performed quite well in Phase 1 of the placement session.”We gratefully appreciate the recruiters believing in our students’ talent and potential and providing offers at this scale. We congratulate the students for being strong and giving their best,” Prof. Ayothiraman continued.

Prof. Ayothiraman stated that the Office of Career Services at IIT Delhi is working hard to obtain additional companies/profiles in Phase 2, which will begin in mid-January. The placement season for full-time hiring of the Institute’s UG and PG students runs from December to May.

Over 370 companies from diverse industries have registered to participate in the IIT Delhi placements season this year.In this phase, processes for over 450 job profiles have been finished; others will be scheduled in the next phase, as stated by Dr. Anishya O. Madan, Industrial Liaison Officer, Office of Career Services, IIT Delhi.
