Hezbollah's Nasrallah to Give All-important Speech But Announcement of Outright Attack Against Israel Unlikely
Top intelligence sources said Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is expected to use coded and cryptic language to signal any kind of escalation amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict

Multiple teasers have been released before a speech by Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah on Friday. He is expected to use coded and cryptic language to signal any kind of escalation amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, said intelligence sources.

While the announcement of an outright attack is unlikely, this speech is important for Nasrallah as it is important for him to ramp up pressure following Israel’s ground operations in Gaza. According to the top sources, with Israel expanding its operations in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah can increase or decrease pressure as it wishes depending on what is suitable and the level of political pressure from the international community.

It is, however, important to note that the Houthis are now presenting a real challenge. Nasrallah, who never speaks directly, uses vague language that can be interpreted in multiple ways. His underlying message is to be ready for any kind of escalation, and that the Hezbollah stands by the Hamas militant group and Iran, sources said.

Sources further said the Hezbollah will be cautious about escalation in a way that is effective and does not attract an immediate violent reaction by Israel. Nasrallah’s supporters will understand that they are moving in the direction of the war, sources added.

Hezbollah, however, does not have the element of surprise that Hamas did during its October 7 attack. It is obvious that they are already engaged in strong hostilities due to their support of Hamas. Their population is prepared for an escalation should circumstances develop in a manner that they feel they have no choice but to do it, sources said.

Hezbollah will continue escalation against Israel but will wait till they feel the country is under sufficient military pressure in Gaza and political pressure from the international community.

Nasrallah, meanwhile, will use language that will make it clear to his supporters but will remain open to interpretation in case they need to back down. He will likely use aggressive language attacking Israel and the US as well as anyone who supports Israel, while indicating that they are part of the ‘Axis of Resistance’ for Iran and underscoring partnership with Hamas and immediate readiness for any type of action.

Sources also said Nasrallah will likely prepare his supporters for “martyrdom”. Hezbollah will keep putting pressure and making it worse but whether they will raise it to a 100 percent is not yet clear. But, in case they are preparing for the eventuality, they are not likely to give an open warning but comment afterwards.

Sources said if the Hezbollah declares open war, Israel will immediately transfer capacities to them and maybe even initiate a strong attack. Hence, the leader will not give out a clear signal but use religious phrases. Their best position to attack will be when Israel ground operations are at a bottleneck in Gaza.

It is known that Iranians use coded language and specific insults and do not use the language of westerners. They will indirectly indicate to be prepared for a signal to their followers.
