The global K-pop sensation, BTS, has given their devoted fanbase a reason to celebrate once again. This time, the joyous occasion is the recent graduation of two BTS members, RM and V, who embarked on their military training journey just a month ago. Their successful completion of the training program, with top honours, adds another achievement to their illustrious careers. The graduation ceremony, a significant milestone for BTS members, was not only attended by those present but also widely shared across online platforms.

Videos capturing the event showcased the duo, RM and V, standing tall as elite trainees. What sets them apart is the distinction of being among the six elite graduate trainees recognised at the ceremony, a testament to their exceptional commitment and performance during the training period.

The duo, having achieved the status of elite trainees, are now poised to transition into fulfilling their duties at the training camp. This marks a crucial phase in their military service, where their skills and dedication will be put to practical use.

RM, the main vocalist, senior member of BTS, and the band’s leader, also displayed his leadership qualities during the graduation ceremony. He took to the stage during the ceremony to deliver a graduation speech. Addressing the audience, RM acknowledged the prolonged period before his enlistment and the accompanying fears that arose from joining the military at a relatively advanced age.

“It is true that I postponed my enlistment for a long time, and because I joined the military at a fairly old age, I was afraid and worried about many things. Also, because I enlisted late, most of my colleagues in the dormitory I lived with were younger fellow trainees who were about 10 years younger than me. Through mental strength education, I realised the necessity of the military and the need for basic military training in Korea, a divided country and armistice country,” he said, as reported by Koreaboo.

RM’s speech also delved into some emotional moments, particularly recalling a night march that left an indelible mark on his memory. “As I marched with my colleagues all night and looked at the stars and cheered together during difficult times, I was able to feel the kind of camaraderie I had only heard about,” he explained.

Expressing gratitude, RM acknowledged the support received from executives and squad leaders, facilitating the completion of various training exercises in a rewarding and enjoyable manner. His reflections touched upon the broader context of military life, recognising the noble sacrifice, effort, and dedication of many that contributed to the peace enjoyed in Korea for over 70 years.

Closing his speech, RM said, “Lastly, I would like to say that although it would be ideal to live in a world where everyone does not need to learn marksmanship, the peace that has been enjoyed in Korea for over 70 years could not be possible without the noble sacrifice, effort, and dedication of many people. We will do our best to carry out our mission.”

The impact of RM’s heartfelt speech was palpable among the ARMY, who could not contain their happiness and pride for the BTS leader.
