Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi starrer Tiger 3 has become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. It has now been reported that the film earned close to Rs 6.50 crore on its second Monday (November 20), taking its total collection in India to Rs 225.25 crores nett. With this, Tiger 3 has become the 4th highest grosses of 2023 as of now.
Tiger 3 Beats The Kerala Story
As reported by Pinkvilla, Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 has surpassed The Kerala Story to become the 4th highest grosser of the year. However, it has now been able to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan or Jawan and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 at the box office. It should also be noted that several big releases are lined up next month including Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. With this, it will be interesting to see if Tiger 3 will be able to retain its position.
Several Records Broken By Tiger 3
Tiger 3 opened at the box office with Rs 44.50 crore on November 12. The film not only became the highest Diwali opening for Salman Khan but also the superstar’s highest opening ever. Tiger 3 was also the biggest Bollywood opener ever in the UK with £420K on its first day. Not just this, Tiger 3 was also the biggest Bollywood opener overseas of all time with $5 million.
Salman Khan ‘Delighted’ With Tiger 3’s Success
Recently, Salman Khan also shared that he is overwhelmed with the response Tiger 3 is getting from the audience. “I’m delighted with the response from the audience and fans for Tiger 3! They have given the film a brilliant start and I’m happy that the third part of this franchise is also scripting a success story. Tiger is a franchise that is close to my heart. So, to see it get more and more love film after film is really special. I hope the film continues to entertain audiences worldwide,” he said.
Tiger 3 marks the third film in Yash Raj Films’ OG spy franchise. It is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Besides Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as Tiger and Zoya respectively, the film also stars Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist, along with Kumud Mishra, Revathi, Riddhi Dogra and Anant Vidhaat. Shah Rukh Khan also made an action-packed cameo in the movie. Tiger 3 was released in theatres on November 12.
