The big semi-final fixture was a momentous day legends from the cricketing and football fraternity came together before the semi-finals between India vs New Zealand. David Beckham and Sachin Tendulkar had made an appearance at the Wankhede Stadium.

But one particular fan was even more happy as Rohit Sharma’s daughter received a jersey from the English legend. What made it even more special is that Rohit Sharma’s daugher managed to recieve an Inter Miami jersey with the Argentinan legend, Lionel Messi and his iconic number 10 on the back.
Ritika Sajdeh had tagged David Beckham and thanked him for the jersey.
Beckham in association with UNICEF was part of the semi-final fixture between India vs New Zealand. Him along with India’s Sachin Tendulkar walked on to the ground at the Wankhede Stadium with the World Cup trophy.

Rohit Sharma managed to give India the big start required as he scored a quick 47 off 29 deliveries. But the game was overshadowed by Virat Kohli’s iconic 50th ODI century, Shreyas Iyer’s second consecutive ton and Shami’s record seven wicket-haul to help India progress to the finals.
The Men in Blue will now go up against Australia in what is a replay of the 2003 Finals. The match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Their opponents also managed to find their way into a record-extending eighth World Cup final by defeating New Zealand in a low-scoring thriller by three wickets.
The match went down to the wire with South Africa almost coming close as they managed to put in a fantastic bowling performance. Their batting let them down with the top four batters crumbling for just 44 runs on the board.
The match is set to be a historic event with the respective Prime Ministers of India and Australia set to arrive along with air shows and much more to celebrate the big occasion.
