With Christmas being around the corner, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani are celebrating the festive season with much needed pomp. The couple is celebrating their first Christmas together. Kiara recently gave a glimpse of the beautiful Christmas tree. And guess what? Their Christmas decor had a Shershaah connect which is also an ode to their love.
The actress shared an endearing video on her Instagram story that offered a glimpse of the magnificient Christmas tree. The tree had a customised Christmas bunting which featured a still of the duo from the hit movie Shershaah. The backside of the bunting had a heart on it. Apart from this, the tree also featured reindeers, Santa Claus figurines and several tiny gifts. Sidharth and Kiara fell in love on the sets of Shershaah. They got married this year. They had an intimate wedding ceremony in Rajasthan.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani truly had the most filmy wedding moments. While they had given the wedding a Shershaah touch, Kiara Advani also revealed that their wedding proposal also had a Shershaah magic. Appearing on Koffee With Karan 8, Kiara told Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar that Sid proposed to her in Rome. She added that he included a dialogue from Shershaah.
“You know when Sid came to that episode (previous episode of KWK), we’ve just come back from Rome where he proposed to me. My parents weren’t there. It was our first family holiday with me and his family. I had a little bit of inclination that he would propose. I told him that ‘you have to speak to my parents and he said ‘are you kidding me?’ I said, ‘yeah, you first ask them and take their permission, let’s do it like the right way. They will be happy.’ My mom unfortunately had COVID so she couldn’t travel with us. So I went with his parents,” she revealed.
“It did come as a surprise because I did not know where on this trip and also in my head, I was like I hope he does propose because now I’ve built it up and if he doesn’t propose on this trip but he did it. So it was the first destination we went to on that trip. He took us to this Michelin star restaurant and his nephew was with us who was supposed to take the photos and capture the moment,” she revealed.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra got married in February this year.
