Bollywood is now abuzz with the marriage of Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan to celebrity fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare. Their marriage has been registered in Mumbai earlier. Soon, they will get married according to Marathi traditions in Udaipur. Apart from aiding his wife Ira Khan stay in shape, Nupur Shikhare has also trained Aamir Khan and actress Sushmita Sen to attain their fitness goals. His Instagram handle, which is named after the popular cartoon character Popeye, is full of reels documenting his workout routine. Nupur Shikhare hails from an artists’ family. Pritam Shikhare, his mother, is a skilled Kathak dancer. Like her son Nupur, who has trained Bollywood celebrities, Pritam Shikhare is also not left far behind. Pritam Shikhare has trained Sushmita Sen in Kathak. Not only that, Sushmita’s daughter Renee Sen has also been trained in the dance form by Pritam Shikhare.
Sushmita Sen refers to Pritam Shikhare as Guru Maa. Four years back, Sushmita Sen had shared a video of her daughter practising Kathak while being trained by Pritam Shikhare and referred to her as Guru Maan in the caption. “What a feeling to be THEIR audience!!! My little Renee blossomed into a graceful kathak dancer under the divine guidance of our joyful gurumaa Pritam Shikhare. Sharing mother’s pride & a teacher’s divine grace,” she had captioned the video.

After the registry of Ira Khan and Nupur, users dug up Pritam Shikhare’s connection to Sushmita Sen and it is now trending on the internet. Meanwhile in Udaipur, pre-wedding celebrations are at full swing. The couple recently hosted a pyjama party where their friends and invitees were seen letting their hair down. In the video going viral on the internet, Nupur dances his heart out with his friends joining him.
