Following much discussion, Hrithik Roshan has finalised the script for the fourth installment of his successful superhero series, Krrish. Production is set to kick off in the first half of the coming year. According to a source cited by Hindustan Times, the script has been penned by Rakesh Roshan, after which Hrithik went through it.
“He wants to be super sure about the story for the instalment, as they are revving the story after a long time and don’t want to get it wrong. That’s why he went through the script and introduced some changes. The script is now locked,” said the source, adding, “In fact, he is ready to start shooting for the project in February or March next year”.
With the schedule in place, Hrithik is actively preparing. According to the source, “He has wrapped up Fighter almost, and is completely focused on Krrish 4. He is undergoing a fitness transformation for the role, which is also reflecting on his social media.”
As for the filming location, the source revealed that the producers are exploring international destinations and have quite a few options in mind. “They have many places in mind, but will decide the location based on where they get the best subsidy. They might also revisit Singapore for some important sequences. But the focus is on shooting in a place where they get the best subsidy,” added the source.
The source also added that the makers might reach out to Priyanka Chopra, who was seen in Krrish. “There is no chance for Preity Zinta to return to the franchise, but the makers want Priyanka to revisit the role, and are planning to reach out to her soon to check for her interest. The team is hoping to seal the deal with her,” shared the source.
The film series began with Koi… Mil Gaya, starring Preity Zinta and Rekha as well. The film resonated with audiences, primarily due to Hrithik’s performance as a specially-abled man whose life takes a dramatic turn when an extraterrestrial being is stranded on Earth.
