Ganapath Box Office Day 2: Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon's Film Witnesses a DROP, Earns Rs 2.25 Crore
Ganapath: A Hero Is Born dropped in collection on its first Saturday, earned Rs. 2.25 crore net in India.

Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s second film together, Ganapath: A Hero Is Born, was released in theatres on Friday, October 20. Two days after its release, the film witnessed a dull first Saturday. According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs. 2.25 crore net at the domestic box office on its second day (early estimates). Similarly, on the first day of its release, the film earned Rs. 2.5 crore net at the domestic box office.

According to Sacnilk.com, Ganapath: A Hero Is Born had an overall 10.19% Hindi occupancy on Saturday, October 21, 2023. The film is currently facing competition from Divya Khosla Kumar’s Yariyaan 2 but has managed to earn a total two-day collection of Rs. 4.75 crore net at the domestic box office.

The film was highly anticipated before its release as it marked the second collaboration between Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff nearly nine years after they debuted together in the film Heropanti. Ganapath: A Hero Is Born is also Kriti Sanon’s first release after winning her National Award in the Best Actress category for Mimi.

The film is a Vikas Bahl directorial venture. Ganapath, which also features Amitabh Bachchan, is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Vikas Bahl. The film is now in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

News18’s review of the film reads, “If the film proves anything, it is that if you make a movie with an apology of a screenplay and hope a star will save you, it is a surefire recipe for a cinematic disaster. The patience of the audience is constantly being tested. With complete disdain for coherence and clarity, it meanders off in a variety of useless ways and switches back and forth between periods. The story tries to be overwhelmingly larger than life, but in the process, it loses logic and becomes preposterous.”
