Will Smith, Martin Lawrence Collaborate With Khaby Lame For Bad Boys Ride Or Die Promotion

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have returned as comical detectives for their upcoming film Bad Boys: Ride Or Die. The action-comedy directed collaboratively by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will hit the theatres on June 7. It is the fourth installment of the popular Bad Boys franchise, first released in 1995. Ahead of Bad Boys: Ride Or Die’s premiere, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence took the film promotion a notch higher by teaming up with internet sensation Khaby Lame. In a video, the celebrity duo engaged in a hilarious non-verbal act with Khaby, taking the audience on a laughter fest.

In the video, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were seen struggling to open a glass jar. When after several attempts they failed to twist the jar cap, Smith came up with a rather destructive idea. From the kitchen counter, he pulled out two hammers, one for himself and another for Lawrence to break open the jar. Soon the scene shifted to Khaby, lazing on a couch. When he noticed the duo’s violent plan, the social media star intervened.

In a typical Khaby Lame way, he gave a disappointed look at Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Taking away their tools, he pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket and covered the jar cap. In one twist he was able to open it and displayed his iconic extended arm gesture to show how it was done. Once he left the premises, Smith and Lawrence exchanged looks, picked up the hammer, and followed Khaby as if to teach him a lesson. “POV: The Bad Boys doing too much,” captioned Khaby.

Khaby Lame’s videos focus on solving daily problems with easier solutions than what is shown in popular DIY or life hack videos. His exaggerated reactions and loud expressions have become a hit among the masses.

Social media users were delighted by the collaboration video. Heaping praise on Khaby Lame one individual wrote, “Wow, that young man is inspirational.” And that’s how you open a jar graciously,” noted another. “This is legendary” commented a third person.

Bad Boys: Ride Or Die revolves around Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) who embark on a dangerous mission to clear the name of their late police captain after he gets dragged into a drug cartel case.
