Akshay Kumar is one of the prominent actors of Bollywood. He has entertained the audience with his impeccable acting skills in numerous films over the past many years. His upcoming film Khel Khel Mein will be released tomorrow August 15. The year 1994 turned out to be one of the best times for Akshay Kumar, who entertained the audience with his two hit films. These films are Mohra and Main Khiladi Tu Anari. Both found a spot in the 5 most commercially successful films of 1994. Talking about the former film, Akshay played the role of Inspector Amar Saxena in this film directed by Rajiv Rai. Mohra starred Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Paresh Rawal and others in important roles. In Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Akshay Kumar again donned the role of a police official named Inspector Karan Joglekar. This film starred Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and others in important roles. The audience appreciated Akshay and Suniel collaboration in Mohra. They were also in awe of Akshay and Saif’s work in Main Khiladi Tu Anari.
Apart from brilliant acting performances and direction, Mohra also entertained the audience with its music. One of the popular chartbusters of this film is Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast, which remains the audience favourite to date. Udit Narayan and Kavita Krishnamurthy rendered the vocals to this track composed by Viju Shah. Anand Bakshi penned the lyrics of this track.
Main Khiladi Tu Anari also became popular amongst the audience with its music. A track from the film that became a sensation at the film’s release is the Chura Ke Dil Mera. Anu Malik composed the song’s music while Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik sang this track. Rani Malik penned the song’s lyrics.
Another notable fact related to Mohra is that Akshay Kumar was not happy with the film. In an interview, film producer Shabbir Boxwala, who was the co-writer as well as production designer on the action entertainer, revealed this fact. When asked about the film’s premier, he recalled, “Yes. I remember Akshay Kumar’s brother-in-law and sister had graced the screening. Akshay was a bit upset. He felt that the title was biased towards Suniel and that he got a raw deal."
