Vithaikkaran, Starring Sathish, Gets A New Release Date

Sathish’s upcoming film Vithaikkaran has been the talk of the town for quite some time, with eager viewers awaiting updates. In a surprising turn of events, the makers of the film announced on Saturday that its release date, initially set for February 16, has been rescheduled to February 23. Directed and written by Venki, who previously worked as an associate director for Lokesh Kanagaraj on projects like Master and Vikram, Vithaikkaran marks his directorial debut.

Alongside Sathish, the film features an ensemble cast including Simran Gupta, Anandraj, Madhusudhan, Subramaniam Siva, John Vijay, Pavel Navageethan, and Japan Kumar in pivotal roles. While plot details remain under wraps, Sathish revealed in a recent media interaction that the film is a black comedy.

Vithaikkaran is produced by Vijay Pandi under the banner of White Carpet Films, with VBR handling the music composition, Yuva Karthick behind the camera as the cinematographer, and Arul E. Siddharth taking charge of the editing.

Previously, the makers unveiled a motion poster for the film, receiving rave reviews from viewers. The motion poster depicted various characters as chess pieces, ultimately revealing Sathish’s character as the king on the chessboard. It then showcased Sathish moving the chess pieces himself, hinting at the intriguing narrative of the film.

The motion poster quickly went viral, prompting viewers to share their feedback in the comment section. Users expressed excitement and admiration for the captivating visuals, with comments like “Congratulations to all. It was looking superb" and “Congratulations and best wishes to the entire team for great success" flooding the comment box, accompanied by numerous red heart emojis.

Meanwhile, Sathish was last seen in the 2023 Tamil-language comedy-horror film Conjuring Kannappan. Directed by Selvin Raj Xavier in his directorial debut and produced by AGS Entertainment, the film stars Sathish and Regina Cassandra in lead roles, supported by Nassar, Anandaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, VTV Ganesh, and Redin Kingsley. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the soundtrack, S. Yuva handled the cinematography, and Pradeep E. Ragav took charge of the editing.
