Vicky Kaushal Calls His Next Chhaava ‘Special’, Says ‘It’s The Film That's Taken The Most Out Of Me’
Vicky Kaushal is currently gearing up for his next release Bad Newz with Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. It is releasing on July 19

Vicky Kaushal is currently one of the most bankable actors. He has films lined up in his kitty. As he gears up for his next romantic comedy Bad Newz, Vicky has also completed the shoot of Chhaava. He is very excited about the project and Rashmika Mandanna is also part of the film. In conversation with Film Companion, Vicky Kaushal spills the beans about the film.

Vicky called the film a “very special” project and said, “It’s probably the film that’s taken the most out of me physically, emotionally. It was that kind of potent film in its drama, emotions, and everything.” Vicky expressed his excitement about the film, which is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, since he had never tried anything similar before. He added that he enjoyed doing the “Shakespearean drama” besides the historical aspect of the movie. Vicky conveyed his anticipation about seeing how it finally plays out.

During the same conversation, Vicky Kaushal mentioned that the film is under post-production. Vicky stated, “Not yet,” adding that although the movie’s shooting had concluded, post-production was still ongoing.

Vicky Kaushal has been grabbing attention for his dance moves in Tauba Tauba song. Salman Khan also praised him. Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is a rom-com that features a fresh trio of talents – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The trailer’s offbeat storyline, where Dimri’s character finds out she’s expecting twins from two different fathers, portrayed by Kaushal and Virk, has intrigued audiences and sparked curiosity about the movie’s plot.

Recently, Vicky was talking about the upcoming film when he said, “For me, shooting this film was like home because Anand Tiwari and Karan Johar, the people I worked with, exuded that feel-good vibe and the script was very good. I found the concept of the film new, and the kind of humour it has, even though I haven’t explored the comedy genre that much as an actor.”

Backed by producers Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is all set to premiere in theatres on July 19, 2024.
