Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was a successful event across all venues. The singer’s popularity and fan base are unmatched. Widely known as the Swifties, the fans made sure the concerts were a memorable occasion. The entire Eras Tour was captured on camera and later released as a film. Fans who may or may not have missed the concert flocked to theatres to watch their favourite singer on the big screen. In the latest, the Eras Tour film will now be released on OTT.
Recently, Disney announced that Taylor Swift’s blockbuster concert film will make its streaming debut on Disney+. The film, titled Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), will be available for streaming on March 15. However, that’s not it. Fans are in for another surprise. The OTT version of the film will include five new songs, one of which is Cardigan. The singer herself took to Instagram to share the news with her followers. Sharing some exclusive posters for the film, she wrote, “his week is truly the best kind of chaos. I’m thrilled to let you know I’ve found a streaming home for The Eras Tour Concert Film, and that home will be Disney Plus. For the first time we’ll be showing the entire concert (including “cardigan”, plus 4 additional songs from the acoustic section!!) and I’m calling it, huge shock, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version)”. Available starting March 15 which is actually very soon.”

Bob Iger, the Disney chief executive, was quoted by AP as saying, “The Eras Tour’ has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are, exclusively on Disney+.”
As per a report by Variety, Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour film earned USD 261.7 million at the global box office after its broad theatrical launch on October 13, making it the highest-grossing concert film to date. The film was shot at the first three L.A. concerts of the pop sensation’s Eras tour from August 3 to 5, 2023. Furthermore, in the same year, the Eras Tour, featuring tracks composed across the singer’s career, drew an estimated USD 1 billion in gross ticket sales. The tour will continue this year as well with the latest destination being Tokyo.
