Just two weeks after their relationship was revealed to the public, South Korean stars Han So-hee and Ryu Joon-yeol called it quits amid a plethora of controversies. Representatives of Ryu Jun-yeol confirmed the news, stating, “We ask for your understanding as we have nothing else to say except to confirm the breakup.”
Han Soo-hee’s agency commented saying, “Han So-hee and actor Ryu Jun-yeol have broken up. They realised that their roles as actors are greater. They have promised not to waste any emotions on personal matters any longer.”
According to 9ATO Entertainment, Han So-hee’s personal sentiments over the years have caused both herself and the public to suffer. They also mentioned that she has expressed remorse and acknowledged that her manner of communication with the public was inappropriate.
Previously, the couple confirmed their relationship on March 15, 2024. As was reported earlier, Ryu Joon-yeol and Han So-hee were sighted together in Hawaii. Following their sighting, Ryu Joon-yeol’s ex-girlfriend Hyeri posted a mysterious Instagram Story with the caption “Funny,” which some people speculated was about their relationship.
Han So-hee shared a long Instagram post early on March 29 that included remarks that appeared to be intended for Hyeri as well as an explanation of her relationship with Ryu Jun-yeol.
Han So-hee, in her post, reiterated that she first met Ryu Jun-yeol during his November 2023 photo exhibition.
In her post, Han So-hee further clarified that it was not “transfer love,” a term that denotes starting a new relationship before leaving the previous one.
Han So-hee said, “What I don’t understand is that I want to ask [Hyeri] what was so funny about the fact that her ex got a new girlfriend,” after emphasising that she had apologised to Hyeri.
Han So-hee apologised and removed the message shortly after it was uploaded. “I have an impatient personality,” she said.
The content of Han So-hee’s post swiftly became viral on social media, despite being removed shortly after. Later on in the day, 9ATO Entertainment, Han So-hee’s agency, made a brief statement saying, “We have no statements to give. We’re sorry.”
