The mother of Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, Soni Razdan recently spoke about the tough time she and her husband Mahesh Bhatt faced in the past. In a chat with The Nod Mag, Soni shared, “That time I felt like a single parent. Mahesh was supportive, but he was knee-deep in work, shooting for three films a day. I remember Shaheen was just three weeks old when he went off to a shoot, and I was left literally holding a baby, who refused to sleep at night.”
Further reflecting on the financial hurdles, Soni Razdan added, “Back then we lived in a small one-bedroom flat. We didn’t have a lot of money, we were young, we were struggling to make it. But the children were brought up with a lot of love. We didn’t have smartphones—heck, Alia didn’t even have a playroom. But then, life was simpler.”
Work-wise, Soni Razdan is geared up to be seen in Prerna V Arora’s upcoming film Hero Heeroine. The film went on floors earlier this year on June 10 in Hyderabad. Besides Soni, the film also stars Divya Khossla in the lead role.
