Sonam Kapoor Announces Veere Di Wedding's New Release Date

After announcing the release date of May 18, 2018, the makers of Veere Di Wedding took to Twitter on Wednesday to share the revised release date. The film touted to be the wedding of the year is now slated for a June release.

Sonam Kapoor took to Twitter to share a new poster of the film and wrote, "June 1, 2018 it is!! Mark your calendars and #GetReadyForVeereDiWedding."

The poster features the 4 leading ladies of the film including Sonam, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania involved doing different things. While Kareena looks straight in the camera, Swara is occupied with her jewellery, Shikha flaunts her traditional juttis and Sonam seems to be in a state of shock and is seen looking at her phone.

The first look, which was unveiled sometime in October, had the divas sporting the best of traditional outfits, the second poster saw them dressed in sherwanis and sporting turbans hinting that one of them might be the much-anticipated Veere. It's not just the onscreen acts, but also the behind-the-scenes moments surfacing on the internet that is getting the viewers' curiosity piqued. The film is being touted to be the official girl-gang entertainer of the year.

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film will perhaps be the first big-budget girl-gang film of Bollywood.
