Shah Rukh Khan Trolls Karan Johar for Hosting Koffee With Karan, IIFA: 'Film Bhi Bana Mere Bhai...'
Shah Rukh Khan playfully teased Karan Johar for only hosting shows, urging him to make more movies, during a fun banter at the IIFA 2024 press conference.

Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar are gearing up to host IIFA 2024 at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, and their camaraderie was on full display during the IIFA press conference. The duo engaged in some light-hearted banter, where SRK humorously trolled Karan Johar for focusing more on hosting rather than making films.

During the press interaction, Shah Rukh shared that Karan wouldn’t be physically available for the rehearsals and planned to do them over Zoom. “Karan told me he won’t be rehearsing for hosting, he’ll do it on Zoom. He said, ‘Bhai main Zoom pe kar lunga… main itna jaldi karta hu. Main toh itna hosting karta hu na.’ Chat show bhi host karta hai, film show bhi host karta hai… picture bhi toh bana mere bhai tu,'” SRK quipped, leaving the audience and Karan in splits. He further teased, “Kitna host karega tu.”

Karan, with a smile, responded, “Siddhant Chaturvedi said the same thing, and I was like this is sounding so wrong on all levels for a filmmaker. I should be making more movies.”

In addition to the playful exchange, Shah Rukh Khan unveiled his new look at the event. The actor, who had been sporting long hair for his recent films Pathaan and Jawan, debuted a shorter hairstyle. Though SRK wore a cap during the press conference, fans quickly noticed the absence of his signature ponytail, marking the end of his long-haired phase that he had maintained for nearly three years.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen in King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film will feature his daughter Suhana Khan, marking the first on-screen collaboration between the father-daughter duo. Suhana made her acting debut with The Archies, which premiered on Netflix last year. The excitement around their joint appearance in King is palpable, as fans eagerly await the release.

With SRK and Karan’s irresistible charm and humor, IIFA 2024 promises to be a star-studded and entertaining affair.
