It’s not everyday that you see Salman Khan serving liquor behind the bar. However, during the recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Riddhima Kapoor shared a hilarious anecdote. She revealed that Salman Khan served as a bartender at her wedding. Jewelry designer Riddhima Kapoor married businessman Bharat Sahni in 2006 after a four-year courtship that began during their studies in London. In 2011, they welcomed their daughter, Samara Sahni.
During the premiere episode of his new show, comedian Kapil Sharma shared behind-the-scenes moments. In one clip, Kapil asked Riddhima about her love for individuals in the film industry. Initially, she mentioned her parents, Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, but her brother Ranbir Kapoor disclosed her fondness for Salman Khan, mentioning that she even adorned her room with his posters.
When Kapil asked if Salman had indeed acted as a bartender at her wedding to husband Bharat Sahni, Riddhima confirmed with a ‘Yes.’ Neetu Kapoor then went on to share what had really happened at the wedding. She recalled, “Salman said I will be the bartender. I said theek hai. Salman Khan serving liquor to everybody right. So he went. Then the waiters came and told us that the liquor is getting over. Rishi ji was like, ‘I got so much. How is it over?’ Then we saw that the guests were throwing their liquor and asking Salman to pour more. Everybody wanted to ask for a drink because it was Salman Khan behind the bar. Then Rishi ji went and told Salman, ‘Yaar tu nikal vaha se (Come out from there)’.”
Ranbir Kapoor made his acting debuts in Bollywood in the 2007 film Saawariya. The film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and was based on Fyodor Dostoevsky’s 1848 short story White Nights. Incidentally, the film also featured a cameo from Salman Kha.
