Veteran actress Rekha has once again proved that age is just a number. At the IIFA 2024 awards, Rekha left the audience spellbound with her magical performance on the classic song ‘Piya Tose Naina Lage Re.’ The video has since gone viral, earning admiration from fans.
Reddit has shared the video on its thread which shows Rekha dressed up in a pink colour Anarkali and performing. She is acing all the steps and receiving all praise. As soon as the video was shared, fans too reacted. One of the fans wrote, “Wow what energy are these people on I need it.” Another wrote, “So graceful! The ultimate diva.”

The IIFA 2024 ceremony, held in Abu Dhabi on September 28, celebrated the finest talents of Indian cinema. The grand night saw Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, clinch the prestigious Best Film award. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and producer Bhushan Kumar accepted the honour on behalf of the team.
In the acting categories, Shah Rukh Khan took home the Best Actor trophy for his powerful performance in Jawan. Rani Mukerji earned the Best Actress award for her role as a resilient mother in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, a film that deeply resonated with audiences.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra was recognised as Best Director for 12th Fail, a biopic that highlights the inspirational journey of IPS officer Manoj Sharma, played by Vikrant Massey.
The night was filled with memorable performances, including electrifying dance act from Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Kriti Sanon. Shahid’s collaboration with Prabhu Deva and Kriti on stage left the audience in awe, while Vicky charmed everyone with his viral song Tauba Tauba.
The IIFA 2024 edition kicked off on September 27 and will conclude on September 29. The gala also includes a special performance night featuring artists like Honey Singh, Shilpa Rao and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
