South star Raj Tarun recently starred in Purushothamudu, which hit theatres in July. The film received positive reviews from critics, who praised its engaging plot and the strong performances of the cast. Despite the favourable reviews, the movie didn’t perform as expected at the box office. It is now set to make its OTT debut.
According to reports, Purushothamudu will be released on the Aha OTT platform on August 29. The streaming service announced the release on its official Instagram handle, sharing an exclusive new poster featuring Raj Tarun in the lead role. The post’s caption read, “Get ready to witness the power of Courage! Watch #Purushotamudu Premieres Aug 29th on #aha!”
The story of the film revolves around a man named Ram, who has returned from the UK after completing his studies. Before becoming the CEO of his father’s prestigious company, he must complete a 100-day task given to him by the company’s co-owner. He has to live as a middle-class man for the period and then only will he become worthy of the post. Along the way, he meets a woman named Ammulu, and Ram’s life complicates further.
Dubbed a Telugu language action-drama, Purushothamudu had its theatrical release on July 26, this year. It is written and directed by Ram Bhimana and stars Raj Tarun and Hassini Sudhir as the protagonists. They are supported by Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna, Brahmanandam and Murali Sharma among many others. It is produced by Dr Ramesh Tejawat and Prakash Tejawat under the banner of Shree Sridevi Productions. Gopi Sundar gave the music in the film while it is edited by Marthand K Venkatesh and the cinematographer is P G Vinda.
Raj Tarun last appeared in Tiragabadara Saami, another action-drama released this August. It is directed by Ravi Kumar Chowdary and Malkapuram Shiva Kumar has produced it under the banner of Suraksh Entertainments Media.
