Vikas Bahl's 'Queen' not only changed Kangana Ranaut's career for the better, but the film inspired a lot of women to break free and live life on their terms. We ran a poll on International Women's Day 2016 and asked you readers to vote for your most favourite female-oriented in the past decade. From 2005- 2015, the list was an extensive one and comprised of some prominent films. And 'Queen' emerged as the winner with maximum votes. 28.39% votes went to Vikas Bahl's film while 'Kahaani' was the second most favourite film with 18.46% votes. Sridevi's 'English Vinglish' came a close third with 15.01% votes going in its favour.
'Queen' featured Lisa haydon and Rajkummar Rao along with Ranaut and narrated the story of a girl called Rani whose fiance calls off their wedding a day before the event. Disheartened, Rani goes to Paris and Amsterdam on her honeymoon alone- only to dicover herself and make some incredible friends. The film inspired an entire generation of young women to break free from stereotypes and travel alone.
