Priyanka Chopra has become the first South Asian actor to win one of the popular awards of Hollywood, People's Choice Awards. The Bollywood diva won the Favourite New Actress in a TV Series trophy for her first American TV show 'Quantico'.

The 33-year-old, who plays the role of an FBI agent Alex Parish in the show, was competing against Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele and Marcia Gay Harden in the category. The actress dazzled the stage wearing a sparkly Spring 2016 Vera Wang dress. Priyanka also presented an award for Favourite Movie alongside John Stamos.

Well, while this is not the first time India has earned good name on a foreign platform, but surely this win has made the former Miss World a global face in all aspects. We wish to see our 'desi girl' winning more hearts and awards in future!

Before going on stage for her big win, Priyanka shared two pictures with her fans on Instagram. While one picture is all about her 'I'm getting ready' stuff, in the other picture Chopra is seen indulging herself into a burger treat.
