Telugu film Vidya Vasula Aham was released on Aha on May 17. Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajshekhar star as the lead characters in the movie, Vasu and Vidya respectively. The characters in the movie, two ego-centric people, learn the meaning of a healthy relationship along the way. Vidya asks her parents to find a groom for her, who can match her high standards. The person has to pass some tests. Vasu is a mechanical engineer. As Vasu meets the criteria set by the bride, he passes the tests and marries Vidya. With time, their happy marriage turns into a battleground. The internal ego starts to affect the relationship. They go through different phases and face multiple dramatic incidents to finally find the meaning of a true relationship. Srinivas Reddy, Ravi Varma Adduri, Kasi Viswanath, Rajasri Nair, Roopa Lakshmi, Avasarala Srinivas and Abhinaya have also acted in the movie.
Vidya Vasula Aham is directed by Manikanth Gelli, who directed Thellavarithe Guruvaram in 2021. Navya Mahesh M, Ranjith Kumar Kodali, and Chandana Katta produced the movie. Kalyani Malik also enriched the film with his music direction. Akhil Valluri is responsible for the interesting cinematography of the movie.
The main theme of the movie is ego. The two characters successfully portray that on the screen. According to the critics, the movie lacks the amalgamation of drama and humour. The director failed to harness these qualities in the movie. A more focused approach was needed for a better outcome. Vidya VasuLa Aham lacks fluidity, as the dialogue in the movie lacks a natural flow. The sluggish screenplay in the movie makes the movie seem longer than the actual runtime. A better implementation of these qualities in the movie could derive a better outcome for the movie.
Rahul Vijay played his character very well. His attention to comedy and performance in general was decent. Shivani Rajshekhar also did complete justice to her role in the movie. She mesmerised the audience with her glamour and acting skills.
