Marathi actress Akshata Atul Apte, known for her acting in Guni Jodi, Jhimma and Dagdi Chawl 2 recently lashed out at the central railways in her Instagram post. Akshata wrote that the AC trains should arrive on time on the Central Line. According to her, the Ticket Collector should also upgrade the first-class ticket without charging a fine, if no tickets are available after boarding the train. She wrote that when the AC trains don’t arrive on time, she has to opt for non-AC trains. Due to this, Akshata Apte wrote that in some instances, many people don’t have the time to buy the tickets and the TC is not concerned about these problems and fines them. This happens even if there is a marginal difference between the prices of AC and non-AC tickets.
Akshata Apte added that she commutes by train to lessen the traffic load and save time, but these issues with AC trains are making things problematic. Akshata wrote that even after incurring so much expenditure on the AC trains, if they are not operating properly, then they should be shut down. Akshata Apte wrote in the caption, “Received many replies on this story I’d put up some time ago. Now COMMENT and SHARE if you know this struggle. Let’s try to make a change.”

The Mumbai division of the Indian Railways responded to Akshata’s complaint and commented that she should use the UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) application for easy ticket booking and stress-free travel. She asked where one could get access to the UTS – from the platform or the station area? Akshata added that she has no idea whether a new update has come or not. Other social media users also agreed with the point raised by the actress and tagged Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation in the comment section.
