Kraven the Hunter is the latest addition to the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters. It follows in the footsteps of other projects like Madame Web, which didn’t meet box office expectations when it was released in February and Venom: The Last Dance, set to release on October 25, informs The Hollywood Reporter.

Earlier this year, in an interview with Rolling Stone U.K., Taylor-Johnson discussed what drew him to the role of Kraven. “I think there was something unique about this character and something grounded," he said at the time. The Fall Guy actor also mentioned that audiences might be growing tired of certain studio films that “churn out stuff that dilutes wanting to go to the cinema. I wouldn’t have signed onto it if I felt there wasn’t something to really bring to life with this character."

Directed by J.C. Chandor, Kraven the Hunter has a strong supporting cast, including Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe. It will hit the theatres on December 13.
