'Karan Johar Impressed By Suriya’s Kanguva': Producer KE Gnanavel Raja

Producer KE Gnanavel Raja’s recent film, Kanguva, has created immense expectations among the viewers. The film stars Suriya in the lead, along with Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, and K. S. Ravikumar in other pivotal roles. The upcoming fantasy action film is all set to hit screens on November 14. Meanwhile, Bollywood producer and director Karan Johar has watched glimpses from the film’s early screening and could not stop praising it. Kanguva, directed by Siva, is one of the most anticipated films of the season. As per reports, the upcoming film is produced on a scale of Rs 300 crore and is said to be one of the most expensive films made in Indian cinema.

In a recent interview, producer KE Gnanavel Raja shared about the impact the mega-budget film has made even before its release.

In the interview, KE Gnanavel was asked about the necessity of investing a huge sum in the film and if it mattered. Replying to this, KE Gnanavel Raja said that the film’s budget in turn reflects on the impact it has created among top producers. He said, “Karan Johar watched the first 30-40 minutes of the film and was impressed by it. Despite his busy schedule, he spoke in detail about it. This was possible because the film has created a good buzz in terms of production value.”

He also shared, “Suriya is currently busy dubbing for the Tamil version, but we will use AI technology for other languages. This marks a new space for Kollywood. Recently, Vettaiyan makers did something similar for Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. We hope it’ll succeed because we want to release the film in Chinese and Japanese as well.”

He also said Kanguva will be released on around 3500 screens worldwide. It will be released in 3D and IMAX formats too.

Kanguva, in the making for over three years, is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. The producers are confident it will make a significant impact not just in Tamil cinema but across India.
