Kamal Haasan stepped out to cast his vote as part of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The actor-politician was seen at a polling booth in Chennai. In a video shared by ANI, Kamal was seen standing inside the polling booth, casting his vote. It seemed that the cameras barged into the voting room to record Kamal cast his vote. The actor, who is also the head of the political party, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), is not contesting this time.

Sharing the video, the publication wrote, “Actor and MNM chief Kamal Haasan casts his vote at a polling booth in Koyambedu, Chennai. Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) is not contesting the #LokSabhaElections2024, the party supported and campaigned for DMK.” He then posed with his inked finger for the cameras.

Tamil Nadu went into polling in the first of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections on Friday. The result of the high-stakes battle between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) will be declared on June 4.

Earlier in the day, Vijay Sethupathi, Dhanush, Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Ilayaraja, Sarath Kumar, Radhika Sarath Kumar and Sivakarthikeyan were also seen casting their votes in Chennai.

Rajinikanth spoke to the media and urged everyone to cast their vote. He said that there is no pride is saying that you have not voted. He added that it is a duty of a citizen to vote and urged everyone to cast their vote.
