London: 'Game Of Thrones' star Maisie Williams says she took a role in the hit fantasy series so she could buy a new laptop computer. Maisie got her big acting break at the age of 12 when she was cast as Arya Stark in the show, and now aged 19 is in demand as a film and TV actress.
However, stardom wasn't in the forefront of her mind when she signed up to the series - as the Brit just wanted to earn some cash so she could splash out on a new computer, reported Guardian.
"The thing I was really obsessed about was whether I would earn enough money to buy myself a laptop. My step-dad Gary just looked at me and said: 'I think there'll be enough for a couple of laptops Maisie'," the actress said.
Her career is going from strength-to-strength and in addition to her role in 'Game Of Thrones' she is set to star
alongside Jessica Biel and Jason Sudeikis in 'The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea', a drama in which she will play a homeless teenager who builds a raft in an attempt to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
On UK TV screens she has also proved a popular guest star on science-fiction series 'Doctor Who'.
