Huma Qureshi is set to return as Rani Bharti in the third season of the acclaimed series Maharani. The director of the show, Saurabh Bhave talked about the actress’ performance and her character Rani Bharati in a recent interview. He complimented her work ethic. Huma Qureshi is playing the role of Rani Bharati, a fictional character inspired by real-life political personalities. She ends up becoming the Chief Minister of Bihar. Saurabh Bhave says that the moment Huma enters the sets of Maharani, she transforms herself into the character of Rani Bharati. Speaking about his experience of working with the actress, Saurabh says, “It was a joy working with Huma. She is very professional and at the same time very humble and fun on the sets.” He adds that she did the Bihari accent so well that one would not be able to tell that is not a native speaker, and states that she is a very versatile actor. He concludes by saying, “Maharani has been a very popular show and the cast and crew made me feel at home.”
The third season of Maharani is set to stream from March 7, on the OTT platform SonyLIV. Huma Qureshi stars as the protagonist, along with Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Kani Kusruti, Pramod Pathak, Anuja Sathe, Inaamulhaq and others. This season, the viewers will get to see Rani Bharati avenge the murder of her husband, who was falsely accused of a crime and sent to jail.
Nandan Singh and Subhash Kapoor are the writers of the show. The producers of the show are Dimple Kharbanda and Naren Kumar, and is made under the banner of Kangra Talkies. Anup Singh has done the cinematography, and Kunal Walve is the editor; while Rohit Sharma is the music composer. The first season of the show premiered in 2021, and was directed by Karan Sharma; and the second season was released in 2022, made under the direction of Ravindra Gautam.
