Gauahar Khan Brutally TROLLED For Wanting To Vote With An Aadhar Card; Watch Viral Video

Gauahar Khan went to vote for the Lok Sabha elections on Monday. She shared on her Instagram Stories that initially, she faced some issues as many names were missing from the list. Khan suggested using the Aadhaar Card as a necessary identification mark for voting. After some time, she updated that she was able to cast her vote and displayed the ink mark on her index finger. However, some people are now trolling her for suggesting the use of Aadhaar card for voting.

After casting her vote, Gauahar Khan took to her Instagram stories and shared a video. She said, “I have an appeal. Why do we have Aadhar cards if we are not considered citizens enough to vote? Your Aadhaar card is your identity that you are an Indian citizen and you should be able to vote with that.

She mentioned that while at the voting counter, she noticed the names of individuals in the booth who no longer reside in the apartment building. Gauahar also stated that it is illogical that the Aadhaar card is not deemed valid in such a scenario, “People who have left the building are still on that list. I have seen it myself. And if I, my mom, my husband, everyone is registered on that building…. none of us are there. So how does one vote? We go with our Aadhar card, Id proof and they say, ‘No you cannot vote’,” she expressed.

She further added, “Here literally people are fighting and going berserk over there because they have their IDs but the survey doesn’t have their name on the list. They are saying if you are not on the list then you cannot vote. I think that is the most basic deprivation of your rights to vote!”

Her video has gone viral all over social media and several netizens are reacting to it. One of them wrote, “She wanted to vote with an Adhar card at a different polling booth where her name is not registered… Next what? I was denied boarding the flight with a train ticket at Vadodara Bus stop?” Another one commented, “She can vote with her Aadhar card provided her name is on the electoral file. Did she not check?” Someone else said,

“And, millions of people follow her!.”

Meanwhile, numerous Bollywood personalities, such as Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and Farhan Akhtar, were spotted in the city exercising their right to vote on Monday.
