Elizabeth Olsen Gives Straightforward Advice To Natasha Lyonne On Joining MCU
Although Natasha Lyonne's casting for Fantastic Four: First Steps was revealed back in May, details about the film are still being guarded.

Elizabeth Olsen is unquestionably a seasoned veteran of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to having starred in five superhero movies overall, she also had her own television show, WandaVision. Olsen’s future as Wanda Maximoff remains uncertain; her next on-screen appearance is in the forthcoming drama His Three Daughters, with Natasha Lyonne. Lyonne has also been cast in a secretive role in Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps. In a recent interview, Olsen was asked whether she had any advice for Lyonne’s MCU debut, and she provided a quite candid answer.

Speaking with GamesRadar+, Oslen stated, “No, she needs no advice. She can handle her own in the world. She’s a very tough broad. She knows she can navigate any situation, I think.”

Although Lyonne’s casting for Fantastic Four: First Steps was revealed back in May, details about the film are still being guarded. In First Steps, Lyonne is accompanied by Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Julia Garner as a female version of The Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus.

Similar to Lyonne, John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser have been assigned unknown roles. Furthermore, Cinema Blend reports that Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., may make a brief cameo in First Steps before assuming a major role as the primary antagonist in the future Marvel films Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Of the premise for First Steps, the plot details are still undisclosed but what is known is that the movie will be set on an Earth different from the main MCU reality and that Galactus would want to consume the said planet. The film will be released on July 25, 2025 in theatres.

Meanwhile, Olsen is starring in His Three Daughters, an emotive and humorous new drama helmed by Azezal Jacobs. The story follows three estranged sisters who get back together in their father’s last days to assist in taking care of him and try to mend their own broken relationships. On September 6, His Three Daughters will open in selected theatres and on September 20, it will be accessible to stream on Netflix.
