Dulquer Salmaan’s Film Lucky Baskhar To Release On September 27

Dulquer Salmaan’s highly awaited film, Lucky Baskhar, has sealed its release date. The film will now hit cinemas on September 27. According to the teaser, the movie was initially set for a July release. Dulquer officially shared the update on Instagram, along with a fresh poster. The poster features him in a relaxed pose, wearing black pants and a grey shirt. His caption read, “Gear up to witness the extraordinary tale of Lucky Baskhar in theatres from SEPTEMBER 27th!”

The announcement comes after the release of the film’s teaser last month during Eid. The teaser offers a glimpse into the storyline, starting with Dulquer’s character acquiring a large sum of money, leaving those around him curious about its source. It also introduces the female lead, Meenakshi, as the love interest of Dulquer’s character. The teaser ends with a hint that there is more to his character than meets the eye. The set designs and costumes transport viewers to a different era, specifically the late 80s and early 90s.

The film revolves around the life of a common man and bank cashier, Lucky Baskhar, and his journey to success. The film is in the last stages of production and will be released in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil languages worldwide.

Apart from Dulquer Salmaan, the film also features Meenakshi Chaudhary and Kishore Raju Vasistha in pivotal roles. The credits to the film’s music go to renowned composer GV Prakash Kumar, while ace Cinematographer Nimish Ravi rules the camera. Editor Navin Nooli and National Award-winning production designer Banglan have also contributed to the film.

This year, makers also announced popular Bigg Boss 17 wildcard contestant Ayesha Khan will make a special appearance in the film. During an interview with IANS, Ayesha revealed, “I’ve always wanted to push myself to do better, and who better than Dulquer Salmaan to be in the process with? Dulquer has been someone whose craft I have always admired. I am super excited about my special appearance in the film.”
