Dhanush and Aishwaryaa parted ways in January 2022. They shared the news of their split on Instagram. In their joint statement, they said, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate.”
A source told Hindustan Times shortly after, “Dhanush is not working on his differences with Aishwaryaa. They are separated and gone in different directions. They have made peace with the turn of events in their life, and accepted that they can’t be together.”
As for Lal Salaam, the film is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions. The movie’s music is composed by the legendary AR Rahman. Vishnu Rangasamy has penned the story and co-written the screenplay with Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Reports suggest that cricket legend Kapil Dev will make a cameo appearance as himself.
The distribution rights have been acquired by actor-turned-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin’s home banner, Red Gaint Movies. It will oversee the extensive distribution of the film in Tamil Nadu. The film will be released in five languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
