Demi Moore Shares Update On Bruce Willis' Health Post His Dementia Diagnosis
While attending the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) in New York, Demi Moore shared that Bruce Willis’ condition is "stable".

Demi Moore recently provided a health update about her ex-husband Bruce Willis, who is currently fighting with frontotemporal dementia. The couple was married from 1987 to 2000 and has three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. Despite their divorce more than two decades ago, Demi and Bruce have remained close. In 2022, Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects communication skills. Since then, his family has shared regular updates about his health. Ten months later, the Willis family shared that he had been diagnosed with a more specific condition- frontotemporal degeneration, a form of dementia (FTD).

Recently, while attending the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) in New York, where Demi Moore received the Career Achievement in Acting Award, she shared that Bruce’s condition is currently “stable”. Talking about his health, she said, “You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is. But for where he’s at, he is stable,” as quoted by People magazine.

The actress further encouraged fans to meet Bruce Willis and accept his condition. “What I always encourage is to just meet them where they’re at. When you’re holding on to what was, I think it’s a losing game. But when you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness.” Moore recalled visiting the Die Hard star just 2 days before HIFF, along with her granddaughter Louetta, who is the youngest daughter of Rumer.

In an interview with ENews in August, Moore and Willis’ daughter Tallulah spoke about her recent meeting with her father Bruce Willis. She said, “Our visits have so much love and I feel that and that overarches anything for me, being able to have that connection. I know he knows how much I love him. I know how much he loves me. I know how much he loves all of us. His health created an opportunity for more love for my family. I think it’s universal to be in the delight of a child and to see the way their brain develops and grows. We are in constant contact. We have many group threads for the family. But my sisters and I, we talk every day.”

After his divorce from Demi Moore, Bruce Willis married Emma Heming in 2009. The couple has two daughters together, named Mabel and Evelyn.
