Could Henry Cavill's Argylle Meet The Kingsman? Here’s What The Director Has To Say
A post credits scene in Argylle has sparked speculation about a crossover with The Kingsman, despite the two films belonging to different production houses.

Director Matthew Vaughn’s action comedy spy franchises, Argylle and Kingsman, are expected to collide, potentially forming a spy universe. Following three successful Kingsman films, Vaughn introduced a new narrative with Henry Cavill in his latest movie. Although maintaining a similar tone and vibrant aesthetic, Argylle’s twists and conclusion did not obviously place it within the Kingsman universe. However, a post credits scene in the recent movie has sparked speculation about a potential crossover, despite the two films belonging to different production houses. In a recent interview with Uproxx, Vaughn was asked about the connection between the two franchises and he neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of a future crossover, leaving fans intrigued.

The filmmaker said, “Well, the good news is deep down, Mark Millar owns both Kingsman and Argyle. We can do whatever we want with it and all I’d say is when you’re a super spy who only dresses in Nero suits, there’s only one tailor shop he’ll go to get them made.”

Meanwhile, the mid credits scene of Argylle, set 20 years in the past, introduces a young man named Aubrey Argylle entering a pub named The King’s Man. In this scene, he delivers a secret message to the bartender and receives a package containing a gun and silencer. The teaser scene hints at the fictional book titled, Argylle Book One: The Movie, coming soon.

Despite facing negative reviews upon its recent release, Matthew Vaughn has confirmed that Argylle will officially have at least 2 sequels. In a previous appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Vaughn had acknowledged about the future collision between the Kingsman and Argylle franchises. He said, “We have an Argylle 2 planned so there is a universe, so we’ve got the Kingsman on the right, I’d say, Argylle on the left and then we’ve got an idea for something in the middle as well, you’ve got these sort of competing franchises in a galaxy that one day might meet.”

The film revolves around Elly Conway, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, a spy thriller author who unexpectedly finds herself in a tense situation. Elly possesses an extraordinary ability to see the future through her writing. When a mysterious organization seeks to obtain an advance copy of her upcoming book, leading to a high octane chase and action. Spies from various corners of the globe are chasing Elly, who are eager to know the secrets about the future.

The movie features a cast such as Henry Cavill, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Dua Lipa, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Sofia Boutella, Samuel L. Jackson. Alfie is played by Chip, the real-life cat of supermodel Claudia Vaughn.
