Brie Larson Decodes the Quantum Entanglement Dynamics in The Marvels: 'It’s a Tough One for Carol'
The Marvels released on OTT recently. The film stars Brie Larson, Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris in the lead.

The Marvel recently released on OTT and it has everyone’s attention. The film brings together Captain Marvel, Ms Marvel, and Captain Monica Rambeau for the first time on screen for a fun adventure in space. The film revolves around Carol aka Captain Marvel reclaiming her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taking revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, the consequences destabilized the universe. She teams up with her estranged niece Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Jersey City super-fan Kamal Khan (Iman Vellani) to save the universe.

Explaining the mysterious phenomenon of quantum entanglement in The Marvels, Brie Larson said, “Quantum entanglement takes us a little bit to figure out. What we start noticing is that we all start switching places, and it takes a little bit of time, and what we realize is that it’s when we use our powers at the same time we switch places. It can be different galaxies and different planets. It doesn’t matter; the distance does not matter. It’s just that we, for very specific reasons, become entangled. It’s a tough one for Carol because she’s sort of decided to work alone because it’s too painful to try and deal with loss.”

Previously, Brie opened up about her experience of working with director Nia DaCosta. “It was just clear from the first meeting with her, Nia’s a nerd like me. She knows all about these comics and rolls so deep with all of this. Therefore, it’s shorthand to her, she knows how all this stuff comes into play. And then on top of it, she has the leadership, the vision, the clarity, and the temperament to do something like this. Nia guided this team to success and just had fun,” she said.

The Marvels also stars Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Seo-Jun Park, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson. Kevin Feige serves as the producer, while Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos, Jonathan Schwartz, and Matthew Jenkins act as executive producers. The screenplay is by Nia DaCosta, Megan McDonnell, and Elissa Karasik.
