Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor got married in 1996. The couple welcomed their first child Janhvi in 1997, and Khushi in 2000.

Sridevi, the diva of Indian cinema, lives in the hearts of her fans. On the occasion of her 61st birth anniversary, August 13, her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter, actress Khushi Kapoor, remembered the legendary actress. Boney Kapoor posted an edited picture of his late wife, seemingly from her 2012 drama film English Vinglish. Sharing the post, the producer wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday, my jaan.”

Khushi Kapoor, on the other hand, dug out a picture from the archives featuring both the Kapoor sisters, Khushi and Janhvi, with their mother. While The Archies actress looked cute in short pixie hair, Janhvi made a funny expression and that became a wonderful memory for them with Sridevi.

Sridevi was born in 1963 and made her acting debut at the tender age of four with the Tamil film Kandhan Karunai. Over the years, she became a household name, known for her versatility and talent in the Indian film industry. She made her Bollywood debut with the film Solva Saawan in 1979, but her career shot up after she appeared in the 1983 film Himmatwala opposite Jeetendra.

After that, she appeared in several big-budgeted films like Chandni, Mr India, Nagina, Sadma, ChaalBaaz, Laadla, Lamhe, Khuda Gawah, Karma and others. She was also conferred with the Padma Shri award for her contribution to the Indian film industry.

Her last appearance was in the film Mom, for which she also received the National Film Award For Best Actress, posthumously.

Sridevi tied the knot with producer Boney Kapoor on June 2, 1996, and the couple welcomed their first child Janhvi Kapoor in 1997, and Khushi Kapoor in 2000.

She breathed her last on February 24, 2018, in Dubai where she had gone to attend the wedding festivities of Mohit Marwah.

Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor made her acting debut with director Zoya Akhtar’s coming-of-age musical film The Archies which premiered on Netflix. The film also starred SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Reportedly, Khushi will be next seen opposite actor Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan in Naadaniyaan.
